YFZ450 Velocity Intake System

This race designed intake kit makes big power gains over the stock airbox!!! Why? The factory intake tube is too small and not smooth bent, it restricts the intake flow and causes turbulence with the intake charge before reaching the carb. This intake kit replaces the factory airbox and is good for 3-5hp with a moderatly modified YFZ.
The Velocity Intake is a smooth bent, basically straight shot right to the YFZ's carb. Intake maintains the 2 1/8 intake diameter before the flare at the filter mount increases to 2 1/4.
Replaces factory airbox with a mandrel bent and ultra-light aluminum intake tube, increases intake velocity for max power in dry conditions.
Comes with K&N RU-0640 with water repellent Outerwears 20-1090-01. This intake and filter combo will make the same power as large filter kit but can go longer between cleanings. Good for those long dusty endurance races.
You will feel the power increase when you completely un-restrict your YFZ's carburetor, requires an increase in main jet size but its well work the work if you want to go fast!
This intake is only for dry riding conditions, and is perfect for drag racing and absolute dune ripping. Shaves off 2.7 lbs. from stock airbox, this intake with filter and hardware is only 1.1 lbs vs stock 3.8 lbs.
Intake tube starts with a 6061 T6 aluminum tubing (2 1/8 diameter) and is mandrel bent 45 degrees with a flare at the last inch for the air filter to mount. A welded bracket bolts to the left airbox mounting pad, can be polished to a mirror finish.
No clearance problems with suspension travel, engineered for additional clearance with most aftermarket rear shocks.
No additional fabrication necessary, this is a simple bolt on unit!!!
